Hi David. Personally I like the cover illustration from the New Yorker - it would certainly create a point of difference on the shelf for your book, but there's the rub...would too many of your potential audience be "turned-off" by that cover? Would these same people be expecting a more traditionally academic themed cover such as the original cover you chose ? Difficult choice.

Congratulations on a great blog that deals with fascinating subject matter. I have just finished Daniel Coyle's book and am eagerly awaiting your own book to see what your thoughts are in more detail.
